Currently, I live in Berlin, Germany – freelancing for different media and often working as online news editor, editor in charge, and multimedia reporter for the Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg.

My journalistic experience ranges from being a local reporter for the radio station of my home town to reporting on difficult topics such as informal gold mining in South America.

Since 2004, I have worked as a freelance journalist, mainly in radio. I started as a local reporter at the Radio NRW station Westmünsterlandwelle and went on to present the morning show, news, and music programmes at the student radio station 99drei Radio Mittweida, where I became student head of programme. I went on to edit and present news and shows at the info station Radioropa and work for Motor FM (today Flux FM) in Berlin, doing reportages and working as a speaker. During these years, I also freelanced for other stations such as SWR cont.ra and Deutschlandradio. Recently, I worked in the international newsroom at Radio Sweden, even presenting pieces in Swedish.

I started my professional life as management assistant in advertising, studied media management and took my masters in the international journalism programme “Erasmus Mundus Master in Journalism and Media within Globalisation” in Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany and Australia.

Through the years, I collected work experience in different countries, for instance in my home country Germany, in the UK, Denmark and Sweden. As intern, through freelance work and studies, I also gained experience in TV, film and commercial production. On set and in production. For instance as production assistant, production coordinator, or line producer assistant. Aside, I learned a lot in my own short film projects as p/d, or through being part of a team to produce short films, and participation in short film competitions.

I speak German as my mother tongue, English and Swedish fluently and have basic knowledge in Danish and Spanish.

In my free time, I am a climber – travelling a lot for my hobby.
